As you know Kobe Bryant tragically passed away in a helicopter crash on Sunday, January 26th 2020 in California, along with 8 others

  • Gianna Bryant (his daughter)

  • Coach John Altobelli

  • Keri Altobelli

  • Alyssa Altobelli

  • Christina Mauser

  • Sarah Chester

  • Payton Chester

  • Ara Zobayan

I am praying for their families that they find comfort during this time and that their needs are all met.

Kobe Bryant has a quote that affected me for so long:

“The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do” — KOBE BRYANT

KOBE’S PASSING REALLY MADE ME THINK ABOUT HOW LIFE CAN REALLY JUST END, IT REALLY SCARED ME. HE REALLY INFLUENCED MY LIFE, MAINLY DURING MY GROWING UP INTO ADULTHOOD IN THAT HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO HAVE A REALLY STRONG WORK ETHIC. NOW RECENTLY, I DIDN’T REALIZE WHAT AN AMAZING FATHER HE WAS; I DIDN’T KNOW HOW MUCH HE LOVED HIS DAUGHTERS.

I have a daughter now, and I love her so much… and i’ve never felt so finite, so mortal. I’ve never felt so desperate to live and protect and love her. I cannot even imagine, how those families were feeling at that time, literally fathers… mothers… and daughters spending their last moments together. I can only find comfort in that they were together and they loved each other.

Kobe Bryant taught me how to be successful in life in these ways

  1. if you want to make history, you have to do something historical if you keep doing what you have always been doing, you’re going to get the same result; you have to push past your comfort zone and get uncomfortable in order to grow.

  2. Inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do always build other up, all your words should build, all your actions should build. Never tear another down.

  3. Keep going, even if you’re tired, you can still keep going, it will be worth it, just always do a little bit more to get better Even when Kobe lost a playoff game, he went straight into practicing all the shots he missed.

The most important thing I learned from Kobe Bryant’s life:

“To think of me as a person that’s overachieved, that would mean a lot to me. that means i put a lot of work in and squeezed every ounce of juice out of this orange that I could”” — KOBE BRYANT
